February Meeting: The Sweetheart Olympics

 February Meeting

Vi Petal:  Be a Sister to Every Scout

AND

Tulip Petal:  Be Courage and strong

To honor the 2014 Olympics, the girls held a Sweetheart Olympics for their meeting.
As always, we started the meeting with our Pledge and our Promise.

The girls listening patiently to instructions.
Their goal was to work together to build a tower using every one of the boxes.

Using teamwork, and remembering to be a good scout, they try stacking all the boxes into a single tower.

Look at the concentration going on. They did so well.

They have the hang of it now. They are almost there.

It took several tries and lots of coaching, but they successfully built a tower using every box by working together and listening to each other.

The girls then showed how brave and courageous they were by participating in some
 Olympic games.

First up,Figure Skating.
Here one girl was blindfolded and then trusted her fellow scouts to guide her along the path without bumping into anything.

Then a game of Plinko was to be played.

And then a game of Hole-in-one.

And the favorite game of the night: bobsledding. The girls truly earned their Courageous and Brave petal on this one. The giggles were infectious as they trusted their fellow Daisy Scouts to rock
them to victory.

And of course we finished the evening with a medal awards ceremony. Not only did they all receive gold medals, but they received their petals as well.

Mrs. Flory even managed to get us an original USA Olympic Flag!

A very special thank you to Mrs. Flory for organizing these awesome games and to all the wonderful moms who supervised them.

Next Month:  A field trip to the police station to earn our Respecting Authority Patch
